Who we are

This website, dppview.eu (the “Site”), is operated by SIA "WEB DESIGN AGENCY", Reg. 40203779332, VAT LV40203779332, Rīga, Brīvības iela 155, LV-1012 (“we”, “us”). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at [email protected] or +371 25 457 231.

This policy explains what personal data we collect when you visit the Site or request a demo, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Latvian data protection law. Personal data that our customers process inside the DPPVIEW service is governed by the agreement between us and that customer, not by this policy.

What data we collect

Demo request form

When you book a demo through the form on this Site we collect the details you enter:

  • first name and last name
  • email address and phone number
  • company name and, optionally, company website
  • what best describes your organisation and roughly how many products need a Digital Product Passport
  • your message, if you leave one
  • the wording of the consent box you ticked and the time of your request

Unfinished requests

The form has three steps. Once you complete the first step and tick the consent box, the details entered so far are saved so that you can continue later. For that we also record the page you were on, the step you reached and your IP address. A random identifier is kept in your browser’s session storage to link the steps; it contains no personal data and is removed when you close the tab.

Technical data

Like every website, the Site is served from web servers that record technical information about each request: IP address, browser type, the pages requested and timestamps. We use this information only to keep the Site secure and running, including limiting how often a single address may call our form endpoints.

Website analytics (only with your consent)

If you accept Performance cookies in the cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to see how the Site is used: pages viewed, buttons and links clicked, how far you scroll, the steps of the demo request form you reach, the language version, approximate location (country or city), device and browser type, and where you came from. You are identified only by a random cookie identifier. We do not send your name, contact details or form answers to Google Analytics, and Google Analytics does not store IP addresses.

The Site has no user accounts for visitors, no comment function and no newsletter. Cookies and similar technologies are described in our Cookie Policy.

Why we use your data and on what legal basis

  • To answer your demo request and arrange the demo. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To send you one reminder email if you do not finish the form. The reminder contains a link that reopens the form with your saved details. Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the consent box (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time; see “Your rights” below.
  • To understand how the Site is used and improve it (Google Analytics). Legal basis: your consent given in the cookie banner (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time using the cookie icon on every page.
  • To keep the Site secure and prevent abuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting the Site and its data (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • To comply with legal obligations, such as accounting and tax rules, where a demo leads to a business relationship (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell it.

Who receives your data

  • Our team. Demo requests are handled by our sales and support staff.
  • Hosting provider. The Site, its database and backups are hosted by a hosting provider located in the European Union, acting as our processor under a data processing agreement.
  • Email. Confirmation and reminder emails are sent from our own mail server.
  • Google Ireland Limited (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager), as our processor, only if you accept Performance cookies.
  • CookieScript, the provider of our cookie consent banner, which stores your cookie choice.
  • Authorities. We disclose data where the law requires it.

Apart from Google Analytics, your data is stored and processed within the European Economic Area. Google may process analytics data in the United States. Such transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google LLC is certified, and on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep your data

  • Unfinished demo requests are deleted automatically 30 days after they were started.
  • Completed demo requests are kept in the Site’s form system for 12 months and then deleted automatically.
  • Follow-up correspondence and customer records are kept for as long as our business relationship lasts and thereafter as long as the law requires, for example for accounting purposes.
  • Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months and then deleted automatically. The analytics cookies expire after 2 years unless you delete them or withdraw consent earlier.
  • Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider for security purposes.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy
  • have inaccurate data corrected
  • have your data erased
  • restrict or object to our processing
  • receive the data you provided in a portable format
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that took place before withdrawal

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We may ask you to confirm your identity and will respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Latvia this is the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija), www.dvi.gov.lv.

Security

The Site is served over HTTPS, access to submitted data is limited to staff who need it, and form endpoints are protected against automated abuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

Children

The Site is intended for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the Site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be announced on the Site.
