Introducing DPPVIEW: Start Preparing Your Product Passports
Product passport preparation is available now. Our hosting platform is in development.
DPPVIEW helps businesses prepare their Digital Product Passport data. We work with existing product records and supplier information, organise the data and identify gaps. Our hosting platform is still in development.
Here is what you can prepare with us today and where to follow future platform updates.
Why we are building DPPVIEW
From 18 February 2027, passports are required for EV batteries, light means of transport batteries and industrial batteries above 2 kWh under Regulation (EU) 2023/1542. Other product groups are covered by the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation, with detailed obligations set in product-specific acts. Indicative adoption years are different from application dates. See our deadlines page.
Passport preparation starts before publication. Useful data needs a clear source, supporting evidence and someone responsible for keeping it current. This is the groundwork we help with today.
Four steps to prepare your passport data
- Gather the information. Start with product records, supplier documents and test reports.
- Organise the data. Structure the available information and link it to supporting evidence.
- Prepare the carriers. Our QR data carriers conform to EN 18220.
- Plan the next steps. Identify gaps and the work still needed before publication.
What is available now
- Product passport preparation: practical help with product information and evidence.
- Data organisation: bring existing records together and identify missing information.
- EN 18220 QR carriers: a specific data-carrier capability, not certification of the whole platform.
- Hosting platform: in development and not yet offered as a verified hosting service.
